Annabel read music at Christ’s College, Cambridge, with a university instrumental award on the cello. She continued her studies in Cambridge with an MPhil and PhD on eighteenth-century opera.

Annabel began composing seriously in 2011, mainly writing choral music. Alongside regular evensong appearances at Christ’s, her music has been performed by choirs including those of The Chapel Royal, Exeter Cathedral, Ely Cathedral and Selwyn College, Cambridge.

Christ’s choir has recorded a disc of Annabel’s choral music, released by Regent Records in 2019. ‘Glorificamus Deum’ is also on An Ely Christmas. Some of her music has been published by Selah and Oxford University Press, notably in the ‘Breath of Song’ anthology.

Annabel was a cellist in the National Youth Orchestra. She now performs as soloist and with local ensembles including the Clifton String Trio.
